Slasher Studios Upcoming Film "Dismembering Christmas" Starts a Crowdfunding Campaign July 1st - PRESS RELEASE

Dismembering Christmas is the second slasher feature from the independent
film company known as Slasher Studios. In 2013, Slasher Studios released
their first slasher feature entitled Don’t Go to the Reunion. After
playing in over a dozen film festivals and winning several awards
(including Best Actress at Crimson Screen Horror Film Festival and
Audience Choice at Killer Film Fest), Slasher Studios is back with their
latest slasher and they need YOUR help!

A tribute to the glory days of holiday horror, Dismembering Christmas can
best be described as Friday the 13th meets Black Christmas. Have you ever
wanted a Friday the 13th set in the winter? Well..so did Slasher Studios
and that’s why they created this movie just for you. Practical effects
from beginning to end, likable characters, and a kick ass final
girl...what more could you want in a slasher?

PLOT
It was supposed to be a holiday vacation they would never forget, not a
holiday vacation they would never survive.

When Mark and his friends go up to his fathers new vacation home for
Christmas vacation, they were ready for a fun time. Out in the middle of
nowhere, the house is cheerfully decorated for Christmas. But an unknown
visitor is there, and one by one they are murdered. Its Christmas and not
a creature is stirring except the killer in the house...

CAST
Johnathon Krautkramer (Justin)
The hardest casting decision Slasher Studios has ever had to make. We had
over 30 actors audition for the role of Justin, the male lead, in
Dismembering Christmas. After much consideration, we are proud to announce
Johnathon Krautkramer as Justin. We worked with Johnathon on Don’t Go to
the Reunion and we are sure he’s going to be as bloody good here as he was
in that film.

Baker Chase (Mark)
Joining the Slasher Studios family from L.A. is up-and-coming actor Baker
Chase. Baker will be playing the role of Mark, the smooth talking but
down-to-earth rich kid, in Dismembering Christmas. He also appeared in
the horror anthology flick H-8, the indie comedy-drama Opening Night, and
the upcoming webseries Dating Pains.

Austin Bosley (Travis)
Slasher Studios would like to welcome Austin Bosley to the slasher family.
Austin is a Writer/Director/Actor on the web-series Survival of the
Dumbest and will be playing the role of Travis, the typical small town
kid who cares a bit more about girls than he does about his future, in
Dismembering Christmas.

Marla Van Lanen (Miss Harris)
We worked with her on Don’t Go to the Reunion as the bitchy Mrs. Sorensen
and now she’s back for Dismembering Christmas. Marla Van Lanen will be
playing the Miss Harris, the local woman who knows about the small town’s
dirty past. We are sure she’s going to kick some ass in this flick.

Scott Seagren (Lt Fuller)
We received over two dozen auditions for the role of Lt. Fuller and it was
a very difficult decision to make. With that being said, joining the
Slasher Studios family is Scott Seagren as Lt. Fuller, the hard-nosed cop
that knows a secret behind the town's dirty past. Scott also worked on the
webseries Survival of the Dumbest with Austin as well as wrote and
directed the short film Indemnity.

CREW
Austin Bosley (Director)
Austin Bosley, who will also be playing Travis in the film, will be
directing the new Slasher Studios holiday horror. Austin has a lot of
passion, energy, and excitement for both the genre as well as the script
we wrote. We couldn't be more excited to be working with him and we know
he’s going to do a killer job on this one.

Kevin Sommerfield (Co-Writer/Executive Producer)
Kevin Sommerfield is the co-writer and Executive Producer behind the
latest Slasher Studios slasher. He’s been a writer on every project
Slasher Studios has created including the short films Teddy, Popularity
Killer, and Blood Brothers. Last year he released the first feature from
the company, the 80’s slasher homage Don’t Go to the Reunion.

Andrew Beirl (Co-Producer)
Joining the Slasher Studios team as a co-producer (who has been a huge
help in casting, location scouting, and coming up with bloody good
Christmas style deaths) is Andrew Beirl. He's a hell of a good horror
friend and we are thrilled to have him as part of this project. He's also
the new co-host of Slasher Studios Horror Podcast so make sure to listen
in to catch all the slasher chat.

Zachary Allen (Co-Producer)
We worked with this madman on Don't Go to the Reunion and he's coming back
for Dismembering Christmas. Zachary Allen is back and this time he will be
co-producing our latest slasher as well as doing wardrobe as well as some
sure to be amazing set design.

Horror Documentary Killer Legends Coming to DVD July 1st

The chilling documentary Killer Legends will be available on DVD nationwide July 1, 2014. Killer Legends follows filmmakers Joshua Zeman and Rachel Mills as they investigate four timeless legends that continue to haunt the American public. Directed by Joshua Zeman, the documentary examines the urban legends of The Candyman, The Killer Clown, The Baby-Sitter and the Man Upstairs, and The Hookman. The DVD release (SRP $19.99) will also include seven special features on the urban legends.

Joshua and Rachel travel to Houston, Texas where they explore the tainted candy legend parents fear every Halloween. In Texarkana, Texas, the filmmakers investigate the real life case of a killer known as The Phantom and how it inspired "The Hook" urban legend. Joshua and Rachel then head to Chicago to answer the question of how clowns became so evil and creepy to the public.

Killer Legends director Joshua Zeman previously directed the critically acclaimed horror documentary Cropsey. "I'm incredibly excited about bringing this film to fans of both urban legends and true crimes. I've always wanted to explore the two together, and Killer Legends was the perfect opportunity."

Syfy Announces the Cast of New Zombie Series Z Nation

June 19, 2014 – Syfy today unveiled the cast of Z Nation, an all-new zombie series set to debut in the fall. From production company The Asylum (Sharknado), the 13-episode action-horror series depicts the epic struggle to save humanity after a zombie apocalypse. Harold Perrineau (Oz, Lost) Tom Everett Scott (Southland, Beauty and the Beast), DJ Qualls (Supernatural), Michael Welch (Twilight trilogy) and Kellita Smith (The Bernie Mac Show) have joined the ensemble drama, currently in production in Spokane, WA.

In Z Nation, three years have passed since the zombie virus has gutted the country, and a team of everyday heroes must transport the only known survivor of the plague from New York to California, where the last functioning viral lab waits for his blood. Although the antibodies he carries are the world’s last, best hope for a vaccine, he hides a dark secret that threatens them all. With humankind’s survival at stake, the ragtag band embarks on a journey of survival across three thousand miles of rusted-out post-apocalyptic America.

Perrineau will play Hammond, the leader of the group headed west; Scott portrays Garnett, Hammond’s second-in-command; and Qualls plays the role of Citizen Z, a computer hacker who joins the team and helps them navigate the zombie-infested terrain. Welch and Smith are Mack and Addy, respectively, two disparate wanderers drawn to the team – and to each other – by a shared goal: survival.

Rounding out the ensemble are Anastasia Baranova (The Darkness II) as Addy, Russell Hodgkinson (Big Fish) as Doc and Keith Allan (Rise of the Zombies) as Murphy.

Z Nation is a dynamic ensemble action-drama that will plunge viewers into a fully-imagined post-zombie America and take them on an adventure with a diverse group of richly-drawn characters. As the reluctant heroes learn to work as a team and battle ever-more-menacing zombies, their flaws, idiosyncrasies, and moral dilemmas will ultimately become the heart of the show.

Karl Schaefer (Eerie Indiana, Eureka, The Dead Zone) serves as executive producer and showrunner. Acclaimed action director John Hyams (Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning) will direct the pilot. The series is produced by The Asylum and sold internationally by Dynamic Television.

Infliction Coming to DVD July 1st

Virgil Films & Entertainment announces the upcoming DVD, VOD, and Digital HD release of the controversial film “Infliction” on Tuesday July 1st, 2014 in the U.S. and Canada. Produced and directed by award-winning filmmaker Jack Thomas Smith, whose last feature film “Disorder” was released by Universal/Vivendi and Warner Brothers, “Infliction” is a dark and disturbing assembled footage film that documents two brothers’ 2011 murder spree in NC and the horrific truth behind their actions.

“Working on ‘Infliction’ left me troubled and haunted,” says Jack Thomas Smith. “It left me thinking about people’s actions or lack thereof and the inevitable domino effect. We all walk our own path in life, which shapes and defines us. What happens to us today, good or bad, will affect generations to come.”

“Infliction” will be available on Netflix, Walmart.com, iTunes, Amazon, Best Buy, Barnes & Noble, CD Universe, Google Play, Vudu, Cinema Now, Vimeo OnDemand, and other online retailers.

Earlier this year, “Infliction” opened in select theaters across the country. Additional screenings have been scheduled this summer and fall due to demand in Washington, NJ; Pittsburgh, PA; NYC; Gettysburg, PA; and the Chiller Theatre Expo in Parsippany, NJ.

About Jack Thomas Smith:
Jack Thomas Smith made his feature film-directing debut with the psychological thriller “Disorder.” He was also the writer and producer of that film. “Disorder” was released on DVD by Universal/Vivendi and New Light Entertainment. It was released on Pay-Per-View and Video-On-Demand by Warner Brothers. Overseas, it screened at the Cannes Film Festival and the Raindance Film Festival in London. Curb Entertainment represented “Disorder” for foreign sales and secured distribution deals around the world.

Born in 1969 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Smith lived there until he was eight when his family relocated to a quiet island community in Michigan, which would later serve as the inspiration for his upcoming film “In the Dark.” He began to write at a very young age after reading the Stephen King novels “Salem’s Lot” and “The Shining.” By the time he was eleven, he had written a 300-page novel and a number of short stories. Smith’s family moved to Sparta, New Jersey when he was a teenager. It was there in that middle-class town that he discovered the films of George A. Romero, Stanley Kubrick, Brian DePalma, and John Carpenter. Inspired to make movies, he wrote and directed a handful of short films that were shot on Super 8mm and starred his brother and friends in all of the roles.

As a young adult, Smith produced films for noted horror directors Ted Bohus and John Russo, co-creator of “Night of the Living Dead.” From that point on, it was only a matter of time for his growth as a filmmaker to expand. Smith’s current project he calls “Infliction” is a dark and disturbing assembled footage film that documents two brothers’ 2011 murder spree in NC and the horrific truth behind their actions.

Smith’s production company, Fox Trail Productions, Inc., is currently developing the action/horror film “In the Dark”, the drama “Illegals”, and the comedy “Ties that Bind.”

Principle Photography for Herschell Gordon Lewis' New Anthology Horror Film BLOODMANIA Begins Late July 2014

"BloodMania" is a new anthology film with four distinctively different horror tales, each featuring Herschell Gordon Lewis' brand of splatter. Principal photography begins late July 2014 in Calgary, Alberta Canada. Mr. Lewis has written one segment and will direct two of them. Herschell Gordon Lewis, originator of the “Splatter” film genre, both revered and reviled as “The Godfather of Gore,” has expressed strong enthusiasm for "BloodMania." “It’s time to get some fresh blood flowing into the happy universe of horror films,” Herschell said in an exclusive interview. “I’ll be there to be sure it happens, and I can promise that we’ll have enough bloody messes and enough off-the-wall humor to satisfy everyone ... even including me.”

The “Splatter Film” phenomenon - Few categories of motion pictures enjoy the perpetual popularity of the genre Herschell Gordon Lewis literally invented half a century ago. The original gore-movie, "Blood Feast" (1963), was as primitive as any movie could be. Yet, it shows in theaters to this day, and is a DVD favorite. Herschell’s personal favorite, "Two Thousand Maniacs" (1964), has a plot-line centering on a small U.S. southern town that “gets even” for that country’s Civil War. Despite what one might or would think is a plot of local interest only, the film has long been an international success, and wherever the director travels – in Canada, the U.S., Europe, or the Far East – he is called on to sing the theme of that movie, which he wrote.

"BloodMania," Herschell promises, carries the slasher advantage to a new height. “First of all,” he points out, “we've brought young directors into the slasher arena and given them tools and effects that just didn't exist when we originated the category. BloodMania has four dynamic episodes. I’m directing two of them. The other two are ... well, critics will have a difficult time choosing which of those episodes is the most effective, because we’re opening wide the gates of effects nobody has seen before.”

Top International Technicians - James Saito, the Diabolique Films executive of the "BloodMania" team, who has assumed the challenging job of recruiting major talent, has chosen some well known genre experts for the project. One example is award-winning Screenwriter/Producer Bob Schultz, whose last two horror films Mr. Saito points out, have been screened around the world, on every continent except Antarctica. Mr. Schultz is writing one of the episodes Mr. Lewis will direct. Each of the other directors will create his or her own episode, and Jim Saito promises a competitive atmosphere that will result in “scenes that blast off the screen.” The promise made by both Herschell Gordon Lewis and James Saito: "BloodMania will set a level of entertainment, shock, and wild humor that will be the benchmark for years to come."

Jim says... "I saw my first Herschell Gordon Lewis movie at a drive-in theater in 1971. It change the way I looked at horror cinema, and was instrumental in shaping me into the gore-hound that I am today. The fact Mr. Lewis has specifically chosen Diabolique Films as the vehicle for a long-awaited new venture is not only thrilling, but a particular honor. Satisfying his legion of fans and introducing his brand of cinema to a new younger audience is a responsibility that we all take very seriously indeed!"

Lords of Salem 2013 - REVIEW

Rob Zombie is at it again.  You either love his movies or you hate them.  I am a fan for the most part.  I don't think that he is the best horror director out there but he definitely is unique in his style and film making.  One thing I can say about him is he is an incredible writer but I think when he does both writing and directing something gets lost in translation.  That is kind of what I think happened here.  Such a fantastic idea for a movie but it was so fucked up and just plain out there that its fan base is pretty small.

Heidi Hawthone (Sherri Moon Zombie) is a radio personality at a Salem, MA rock station with her cohorts Whitey (Jeff Daniel Phillips) and Herman Jackson (Ken Foree).  She receives a record in the mail from a metal group called The Lords.  They play it on air but everytime it is played Heidi starts feeling ill and her behavior starts getting more and more bizarre.  She becomes detached from reality and is falling under the spell an evil that she is connected to more than she realizes.

This is one film that is really hard to write a synopsis for considering I have watched it 3 times and only vaguely know what it is about.  I don't necessarily dislike this film but it is definitely out there and at times really does not make a whole lot of sense.  Specially towards the end of the movie, it almost seems like a pile of scenes were put together and were meant to leave you wondering what the fuck did I just watch.

I'm not a huge fan of Sherri Moon Zombie but I think this is probably one of her better performances of all the movies she has been in which coincidentally are her husbands movies.  The supporting cast are alot of horror actors and actresses from the good ole days like Ken Foree, Dee Wallace, and Meg Foster.  All of which do a stand out job in this film with their roles.

To conclude I do like this movie just not that much.  If it had made sense just a little bit more then I may have been totally on board.  A lackluster finale and just weird imagery really leaves me teetering on this one.  I would give Lords 5 out of 10 stars. I could not bring myself to give anything more on this one.  Stay twisted everyone!

Interview with Actress Chanel Ryan

TC: Hi Chanel! How are you today?

CR: Hi Twisted Central! I'm doing rather well, thanks!

TC: Over the past few years you have climbed up the ranks of indie horror. How did your acting career get started?

CR: My very first acting job was one of the lead roles in a quirky indie comedy called WAITING FOR THE ROCKET. Not long after I auditioned for legendary director John Frankenheimer and was offered a role in GEORGE WALLACE on the spot working opposite Gary Sinise and Mare Winningham. Shortly after I booked a role as one of the "Felon Cheerleaders" in BASEketball. Around the same time I landed a costarring role opposite Bill Murray in THE SWEET SPOT. I look back at the great projects I booked when I was just starting and wish I would've been more focused on my acting career. Although acting was my first love in the early years of my career I wasn't very focused. I was often out of the country on modeling jobs. Which makes it difficult to pursue and acting career. More often that not I would audition for a project and then get an callback but I would be working out of town on a modeling job.

TC: What is the most recent project that you have worked on and what is it about?

CR: My schedule has been crazy for the past year. I have booked on back to back projects.
I just returned from New Orleans filming a small but fun part in comedy MIND PUPPETS which has a great cast including Kevin Pollak, and Vinnie Jones.

I have several films premiering as I write ALICE D. where I play Kane Hodder's evil sidekick, was just awarded "best horror" film at IFS Festival where it premiered on May 27th; SKUM ROCKS narrated by Alice Cooper is just had it's U.S. premiere at Mann's Chinese theater May 30th, the film has an all star cast including Kevin Bacon, Matthew Broderick, Fran Dresher and numerous rock & roll legends; and DEAD SEA, the "Creature Feature", will be available on VOD/DVD May 20th.

My Upcoming films include Romantic comedy LOVE ADDICT. Late July/August I am excited to reprise my role as "Ms. Gleason" in BAD KIDS GO TO HELL 2, opposite Judd Nelson and Ben Browder. In August I am joining the cast of haunted house film MARKED in one of the lead roles. A vampire project DRAKUL is premiering at the HOBOKEN FILM FESTIVAL in June and is in negotiations to film 5 new episodes for a British TV station.

TC: You have undoubtedly worked with some very talented actors and actresses. What movie have you worked on was the most memorable?

CR: Yes I have been so lucky to work with actors who are more talented, and more successful than myself and veterans in their craft. Every film is memorable for different reasons and I learn so much from every actor I work with. I pretty much just take a step back and watch their process.

I recently worked on MIND PUPPETS in New Orleans and it was a really nice change of pace to go into a project with a small role. Don't get me wrong I love doing lead roles. But normally I have so much on my mind when filming. The second I am done with a scene I am prepping for the next one and have zero down time. It was really fun watching Yvonne Zima film here scenes. She did a phenomenal job and it was very inspiring.

TC: You recently starred in Circus of the Dead with Bill Oberst what was that experience like?

CR: Bill Oberst Jr. is an amazing talent and he can lick my face anytime! He is such a gentleman and was wonderful to work with. He plays the maniacal serial killer "Papa Corn" in CIRCUS OF THE DEAD. We have a couple pretty violent scenes together. In person he is very soft spoken and polite and would apologize before we did our scenes. Then Billy Pon (the director) would yell action and he would turn into a complete psycho. As soon as Billy yelled cut he would make sure I was ok, and apologize some more.

TC: I have seen you all over social media embracing all of your fans all over the world. Have you attended any conventions recently or have any coming up?

CR: Funny you should ask I am actually answering the interview questions from 30,000 feet in the air! On the plane en route to BIZARRE AC. I will be appearing at the show this weekend June 13-15.
http://bizarreac.com/

The East coast premiere of CIRCUS OF THE DEAD will also be at the show Saturday night at 9pm: http://bizarreac.com/screenings.aspx

TC: Is there anything you would like to say to all of your fans?

CR: Thank you for actually reading this interview! My fans are truly the best! I have been fortunate to meet many of you over the years at different events and appearances! A big thank you for supporting my career over the years, and making the journey with me from model to actress. Without you watching my films, checking out my interviews etc. I would not have a career!

I am a huge animal rights activist and end every interview with a plea . . . Please spay and neuter your pets!! Be part of the solution, not the problem! And please if you are thinking of getting a pet ADOPT from a shelter or rescue. They make the best pets!

In Columbia, MO they compare The Baby-Sitter and the Man Upstairs legend to the unsolved murder of Janett Christman - a babysitter found murdered in 1950.

"I'm excited to be working with Breaking Glass Pictures again. They helped me make Cropsey a creepy cult favorite and I'm looking forward to repeating the same success with Killer Legends."

Founded in 2009 by Rich Wolff and Richard Ross, Breaking Glass Pictures is a Philadelphia-based film distributor. Jeffrey Combs to Perform “Nevermore: An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe”

Boston, Massachusetts (June 2, 2014) — Boston literary enthusiasts and fans of the macabre will get a double whammy of fall fun this October—as a companion event to the Edgar Allan Poe Bronze Bust Project, which will be unveiled on October 30, 2014 at the Boston Public Library, Boston-based filmmaker Izzy Lee and the Poe bust sculptor, Bryan Moore, are bringing Dennis Paoli’s play “Nevermore: An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe” to the Somerville Theatre on October 31, 2014.

Starring beloved character actor Jeffrey Combs, the one-act play is set in 1848—one year after the death of his wife and muse Virginia, and two years before Poe’s own death—and begins and ends with the lighting and extinguishing of a candle. Combs inhabits Poe’s persona seemingly as easily as he breathes—Combs runs the gamut from congenial to hilarious to tragic—all in 90 minutes’ worth of expertly delivered monologue.

“I can't express how thrilled and honored I am to be invited to perform ‘Nevermore: An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe’ in Boston. Not only was Boston Poe's birthplace, but throughout his professional life he had, let's say, a colorfully contentious relationship with the city's literati. I simply can't wait to step onto the Somerville Theatre stage on Halloween night.”

Having toured North America in years past, Combs has widely received standing ovations. The Austin Chronicle had this to say: “Combs, normally known for his angular, vulpine looks, is immediately recognizable as the moon-faced Poe. He lets his face droop into the lethargic, booze-fueled but brilliant visage that stares out of every portrait of the author. Then there's the voice: In the opening minutes, it's a bombastic flurry, as the ever-florid and over-dramatic Poe orates to the audience. It's a breathless introduction to a powerhouse performance, as the barriers between Poe's sense of the dramatic and his own overbearing tragedy come crashing down like the House of Usher into the deep and dank tarn.”

Los Angeles Times stated: “The true test of Combs’ talents lies in his rendering of such Poe standards as ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’ and ‘The Raven;’ pieces so arguably overdone that one dreads hearing them even one more time. However, until you hear Combs do them, you have never heard them before.”

“Jeffrey Combs’ interpretation of Poe is not so much an acting job as channeling the spirits of the unquiet dead. There wasn’t one minute where I felt that I was watching the man play a role,” mused Film Threat.

Boston-based filmmaker Izzy Lee, who is producing “Nevermore” at the Somerville Theatre, said this: “When Bryan asked me to be involved, I forgot to breathe. Poe is a personal hero of mine; his work helped me get through a lot of dark times in my childhood. I'm absolutely thrilled to help bring a life-size representation of Poe to the Boston Public Library, one of my favorite places in the city. This event led to talk about bringing ‘Nevermore’ to town; I first saw the play in Montreal at Fantasia in 2010, and was blown away. It’s been a dream of mine to be able to bring Jeff and ‘Nevermore’ to Boston since then. Anyone who attends the unveiling and the show is going to get a very, very special treat this Halloween.”

Poe sculptor Bryan Moore states: “I'm honored to be working with my dear friend Izzy Lee on the Edgar Allan Poe Bronze Bust Project as well as bringing the incredible show ‘Nevermore’ to Boston. Izzy is a filmmaker of note; her cinematic niche is hard-hitting and uncompromising in its dark vision; Izzy brings that same dedication and panache to her arsenal as a great producer. When it comes to delivering the goods, Izzy Lee takes no prisoners.”

The bust unveiling is slated for the evening of October 30, 2014 in the Boston Public Library’s Abbey Room, and “Nevermore: An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe,” will be performed (one night only) at the Somerville Theatre on October 31, 2014.

The Edgar Allan Poe Bronze Bust Kickstarter fundraiser will be launched very shortly.

About Jeffrey Combs:

A true icon of horror and sci-fi film and television, Jeffrey Combs spent years honing his craft at acclaimed schools and in regional theatre; he trained at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts and the Actor’s Training Program at the University of Washington in Seattle. Following those schools, Combs spent years performing at such notable venues as the Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, the Arizona Theatre Company in Tucson, the California Shakespearean Company, the Mark Taper Forum, and the South Coast Repertory, where in 1983, he won an L.A. Drama Critics Award.

With over 50 feature films and countless television series under his belt, Combs’ career spans a broad range of genres, but he’s most widely recognized by horror and science fiction fans. His most beloved performances are: the mad scientist Herbert West in “Re-Animator;” the quirky FBI agent Milton Dammers in Peter Jackson’s “The Frighteners,” which earned him a Saturn Award nomination; his chilling performance as Dr. Richard Vannacutt in the Halloween box office champ “House on Haunted Hill;” and his widely praised portrayal of Edgar Allan Poe in Stuart Gordon’s “The Black Cat,” created for Showtime’s “Masters of Horror” series. Additionally, Combs starred with Rene Zellwegger in the indie film favorite “Love and a .45,” and acted opposite Jennifer Love-Hewitt in the successful “I Still Know What You Did Last Summer.”

About Izzy Lee:
Izzy Lee is an up-and-coming director/producer/writer of horror films, and has been a programmer for the Boston Underground and Boston Sci-Fi festivals, as well as the former marketing director for the Viscera and Etheria film festivals. She has written for the world’s leading horror magazines Rue Morgue, Fangoria, and Diabolique. These experiences segued into directing and producing short films, notably horror and revenge stories. Her films have recently screened in Boston, Philadelphia, Rome, and Kansas City. Lee is currently in pre-production for several projects, and will serve as the producer for “Nevermore: An Evening With Edgar Allan Poe,” to be held on October 31, 2014 at the Somerville Theatre. Additionally, she is partnering with sculptor Bryan Moore to assist in the installation of the Edgar Allan Poe bronze bust in the Boston Public Library, with the unveiling set for October 30, 2014. Keep up with her at www.nihilnoctem.com.

About Bryan Moore:
Bryan Moore began his sculpting career by working in countless horror media, like the original Tales from the Darkside TV series to big budget films like the Underworld movies. He enjoyed an apprenticeship in Italy under the sculptor Fabrizzi Alatore doing restorative work on the remains of monks for the Celebrated Cemetery of the Capuchin Friars in Rome; lived in Tokyo sculpting miniatures for amusement parks; worked as a sculptor at both Mattel Toys and Upper Deck Sports Collectibles; and now sculpts private commissions. Moore seems to have created an unintentional niche for himself as one who celebrates the Devil in art; his limited editions of occult icons often sell out immediately.

In August of 2013, Moore installed a life-size bronze bust of noted horror author H.P. Lovecraft in the Providence Athenaeum, and made a donation to the Children's Literacy Program as part of the project. The extraordinary success of the H.P. Lovecraft Bronze Bust Project led to the creation of a life-size bust of Edgar Allan Poe, which will be unveiled in the city of Boston in the Boston Public Library on October 30, 2014.

Having won a Rondo Award in May 2014—given in celebration of the best in classic horror research, creativity and film preservation—for Best Fan Event for his 2013 H.P. Lovecraft Bronze Bust Project, Moore is now tackling Boston and its wayward son, Edgar Allan Poe, at the nation’s oldest public library, the Boston Public Library.

The killer, revealed as the demon Beelzebub, sets out on a vicious killing spree to consume a steady supply of human blood in order to maintain a physical form. Brad recruits metal-head/stoner kid D.O. to assist him in his hunt for Beelzebub.
